Jason shook his head no as he stared off into space, his thoughts else where.

Mags looks at him and says''you sure''

Jason nodded, "Yeah Im sure."

"Okay then''she said looking up at the sky

Meg paced nervously. Where was Kat? And Why hadn't she flown back yet? "I wish I could fly!!!" Meg said.

'Over here!" called Katherine from the other side of the roof," There are a bunch of neon flowers over here! Come check them out!" She looked at the b eautiful flowers, but a sudden pang of pity hit her. They were artificial flowers, made from magic, just like everything else in the place.

Meg heard her friend's voice, but it startled her, turning her into a large bobcat. "You have GOT to be kidding me." She grumbled. Meg padded over there and smelled them. "These smell... magic." She said.

"Well, i see that i startled you," Katherine said. "That's because they are magic. They wouldn't be able to live with all this dark fog blocking sunlight, and its proof enough with the glow."

"Hmm, they smell nice..." Meg said, then she snapped one off at the stem. It turned into a bunch of lavender shiny stuff. "Ooh cool!" She squealed. Meg bit at another's flower and it turned into a snake. "That's weird..." She said, then looked at Katherine. "You try! This is FUN!!!"

Katherine smiled,"They may not be real, but they sure are fun," she said as she picked off a flower that duplicated itself into a dozen. She then picked another one, it looked like a rose, her favorite flower, except for it was black and emitted a deep pink neon glow. It turned into the same pink light that crawled up her arms like vines, and then disappeared. She paused and smiled," That one's my favorite!"

Meg stopped and began to think. "Ok, need to change back..." She bit another random flower and it turned into a spider. A big, black, hairy, spider. "YIIIIIIIIGH!!!" Meg changed back and ran away about ten feet. "Is it gone?" Meg whimpered.

"It's just a spider!" She said picking it up with her hand

"Spiders are evil." Meg said, straightening herself out. "And hey, it changed me back, didn't it?"

Jason rose to his feet and said, "Well Im going to explore this place a little more." He spun on his heels and started toward the door calling over his shoulder to Mags, "Come if you want."

"I don't have nothing better to do''she said and follows him

Katherine nodded, smiling," Well, i guess nobody really has any control of their fears. Like me with cockroaches...." She shuddered, and then looked at the flowers. "If they put a garden up here, why do you suppose they locked the door?"

Jason chuckled, "Is that suppost to be an insult?"

"maybe''she replied to his question happily but without smiling

"Maybe these plants are radioactive." Meg said, joking. "I don't know, really. Maybe they didn't want us breaking the plants... we better leave them alone now."

Jason gasped dramaticly, "Im insulted!"

Mags rolls her eyes

Meg looked at the flowers one last time. "We better leave." She said, sighing.

Jason grinned before he asked, "WHat all have you seen? So far."
